Careers in Mental Health
With the astronomical rates of depression and generalized anxiety (not to mention garden-variety existential turmoil) that are so prevalent in our society, there are ample career opportunities in the mental health field. Addressing a client's mental health issues can also play an important role in preventing physical illness. Licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs) and therapists work with clients one-on-one and in groups, in private practice and/or in clinical settings.
